Overview This collection consists of 7 linear feet of transcripts and audio tapes of interviews on the history of artificial intelligence, which were conducted in 1974-75. Among those interviewed are Allen Newell and Herbert Simon. Also included are McCorduck's diaries, whcih are closed to researchers at this time.
Overview The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University was established in 1979 to conduct basic and applied research in robotics technologies relevant to industrial and societal tasks. The Robotics Institute Collection consists of materials related to the history of the Institute and some of the research conducted there.

The majority of the Publications are copies of the internally published "Computer Science Research Review". These run consecutively each year spanning from 1966-1978, and 1986-1988. There are also manuals and information produced by the Digital Equipment Corporation.
